halcyon the shop is the new music store/boutique/gallery owned and operated by the team that brought you the world famous halcyon cafe on Smith St. from '99-'04. We've moved to new digs in dumbo and switched up the format, concentrating for the moment on establishing a proper retail shop to support the underground music, art and fashion that shapes our urban experience. Our mission: to bring back the day when the record shop was the heart of the scene, when heads got amped for their weekly pilgrimage to the vinyl emporium, when the beat slingers behind the counter could be trusted to turn you on and tune you in. If you know what we're talking about, then get up from that computer and come down to halcyon the shop for a real experience. Whatever you crave, we're halcyon it.
